I’ve been making a concerted effort to be more conscious of the quotes and pearls of wisdom I read lately. I’ve been trying to really read and understand them…to let them sink in to my psyche. For too long, I would read wise words and appreciate them, but I wasn’t learning from them. I needed to change that.
The fact I wasn’t learning from them was my own fault. I was failing to take them in and really feel and understand the words so that they made me a better person.
In my effort to become a better person, I’ve found some amazing quotes/pearls of wisdom this week that I’ve read many times over so that their deeper meaning sinks in and becomes a part of my conscious thinking.
Consider these wonderfully inspiring words and try reading them many times over — let them sink in and gain a good understanding of what they mean.
“Don’t marry the person you think you can live with; marry only the individual you think you can’t live without.” – James Dobson
Friendship & Relationships
“We need people in our lives with whom we can be as open as possible. To have real conversations with people may seem like such a simple, obvious suggestion, but it involves courage and risk.” – Thomas Moore
“What is most valuable is not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life”. – Unknown
“Don’t hurt anyone. It only takes a few seconds to hurt people you love, and it can take years to heal.” – Nanu Thakuri
“Trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair.” – Unknown
Live for Today
“There are two eternities that can really break you down, yesterday and tomorrow. One is gone and the other doesn’t exist yet, so live today.” – Unkown
7 Laws of Self Awareness
1. You are what you think.
2. You are what you desire.
3. You are what you seek.
4. You are what you believe.
5. You are what you value.

7. You are what you master.”
Simple, but yet so deep. I love these quotes because they are wise and they are true. Like repeating a positive mantra to help make it a reality, these words of wisdom are a worthy guide to self-development and leading our daily life. Which ones do you like the best?
