As we approach another new year, many of us will make our new year resolutions, dutifully making a list of the things we want to change about ourselves. We”ll make promises that this year, we really will stick to our resolutions. This new year though, why don’t we make a resolution of a different kind?
This year, what if more of us resolved to be kinder, gentler and more compassionate? Rather than making a resolution centered on ourselves, what if we instead made a resolution to protect the most vulnerable among us? And increasingly, the most vulnerable among us includes animals and nature.
Man likes to boast that we are the superior species on the planet and some even believe that the earth is here to be conquered. To some, that means hunting for sport and abusing animals. I guess in their mind, animals are dumber than we, so thus, are not to be valued. That thinking is dangerously misguided. If we look at the world, it is mankind that has polluted the land, sea and air and not animals. Animals are smart enough to know that destroying one’s own home is just plain stupid. So just which species is really smarter?
Animals continue to suffer horrors at the hands of humans and as we enter a new year, I hope that more people raise their voices in the defense and protection of animals. I pray that this new year, more people make the resolution to protect nature and all animals.
Animals are sensitive, feeling and loving creatures and they deserve our love and respect. This video clip will probably tug at your heartstrings and so it should, because it’s more proof that animals are gentle, wonderful and have the same emotions as humans. Please make sure to have your volume turned on.
Her face conveys so much! It says “please help me,” love me,” “thank you,” and, so much more. She’s a sweet and innocent animal who only wants to be loved and protected. If mankind is so superior, then we have no reason to ever hurt any animal, because they don’t pose any threat to us. Thank you to the kindhearts who helped this little beauty!
I wish you all the best for 2019 and I hope you’ll help make it the year to help the most vulnerable among us!
