Norman Vincent Peale, the author of “The Power of Positive Thinking,” encouraged people to believe in themselves and to have faith in their own abilities. He was of course, absolutely correct in this thinking.
Dr. Peale also dded that without a humble and reasonable confidence in our self and what we can accomplish, how can we be successful or happy? What Dr. Peale was saying, was that we need to be positive — to be confident in our own abilities and to persevere.
Perseverance is a vital trait that enables us to carry on — to keep trying and to stay as strong and as positive as possible.
Lots of very learned and successful people have offered their wisdom on perseverance and this quote collection is a positive reminder that being strong and positive is of the utmost importance.
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
