Kindness matters and never more so than today. The power of our words is incredible and we can either make or ruin someone’s day with a simple utterance of a few words — that’s why we need to choose them carefully.
Have you ever encountered someone who becomes so passionate about a particular cause, that at some point, they make it not about the people they want to help, but about themselves? You probably have, as its all too common.
People who live simply and healthy and who maintain a positive attitude, seem to prosper in life — they appear to live long, happy lives. There is a lot to be said for being a person of simplicity, values and peace.
Hope. One of the most beautiful words ever spoken, heard or read, is the word and concept of hope. Hope for a better and brighter tomorrow. Hope for peace. Hope for…well, the very word itself is positive and bright, isn’t it?
How do you measure success? The measurement and definition of success is different for everyone. Some consider the ultimate success to be vast wealth, while others may see it as being universally famous.
It’s easy to forget that there are a lot of good people in this world, especially when the bad ones get so much attention. Sometimes, I find myself asking where all the good people have gone. Then I realize they’re all around us.
Each day, we wake up with choices to make. We can choose to be in a bad mood, or we can choose to look on the bright side. Of course, making choices isn’t always easy, but that’s the thing about choices and choosing wisely…it can be very difficult.
I once had a Teacher who was one of those rare, open-minded thinkers who didn’t feel threatened by encouraging free-thought. She showed us how to think, but never what to think.
