Chatting with a friend the other day, and we landed on the topic of the first step to becoming a more positive person. We debated if there were many steps to this transformation, or perhaps just one.
Life is full of ironies. Sometimes, we have to go backwards to move forward. And sometimes, we need to get angry to become happy. Life really can be quite the adventure, wouldn’t you say?

Why is it that the very people who preach and do the opposite of God’s will, tell us that they are the “true” and “good” Christians? Do you get the feeling that these individuals are delusional?
Doesn’t it seem as if arguments and general acrimonious discourse are the order of the day? Someone, some where, always seems to be angry and ready to do battle over anything and everything. Its very unhealthy.
Toxic emotions and habits pose a serious threat to our happiness and even our health. Bitterness, or, “resentment,” are particularly dangerous, because they take us off our path of the present and trap us in the past.
One of the most important tenets of the Christian faith is love. To love God above all and to love each other. Through love, we find joy — to give and receive love, is in essence, a hold-all for everything good.
Does the debate as to whether positive affirmations work or not continue to rage? Did it ever really rage? No, but it is an important question and the answer may surprise you.
The very best things in life really are free. Love, family, compassion, faith — all of these things are free and yet, their value is immeasurable. There are so many things just as important and just as free of cost.
