Make a Resolution to Thrive in 2023

https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063484929929It’s the dawn of a new year and that brings a fresh start and a world of new opportunities. While some will make a simple resolution to be happy this new year, what if we really kicked it up a notch? What if instead of merely living, we made the resolution to thrive?

Most people today are basically just surviving in life — and merely surviving is a depressing prospect. When we’re just meandering through life with no joy or excitement, we’re pretty much just going through the motions as one day flows into the next, in an endless cycle of banality. Most likely, when we simply just exist, it means we’ve  forgotten who we truly are and we’ve allowed ourselves to settle for mediocrity — it sneaked up on us and we let it.

Did You Know?

Did you know that in fact, we are meant to thrive in life?  The truth be told, we’re not here to just sit around while life passes us by — we are all here to live a fulfilled, dynamic life that is bountiful and beautiful. If you feel like you’ve been just “surviving” and mindlessly going through the motions, then let this new year be the one that becomes a turning point — make your resolution be to not just get by, but to thrive and prosper ever day of your life.

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”  – Maya Angelo

“The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

I firmly believe that a major reason why so many of us get accustomed to living life stuck in the rudderless “survival mode,” is because we let the mania, clutter and negativity of modern life completely take over our lives. We put off tending to our physical, mental and spiritual well-being until “next week”….we let stress and doubts pile up so high, they crush our dreams…we put off taking that new adventure until…?? And that’s the problem — we put everything good off until its too late and its all passed us by.

Thrive in 2023

So yes, right about here the reader might expect to see all sorts of tips and techniques that will help you finally move from survival mode to thriving mode…but let’s be honest, you’ve read them all before. You’ve seen all the articles on “how to _________”  or on “ways to make your life a dream come true….” so nothing I share here will be a revelation. Or, will it?

Well, the truth of the matter is, there really is an incredible secret to success that will move life from meaningless and dull survival mode, to a life that is full, enriched and inspiring. Want to know that secret? Okay…here it is — just do it! That’s the secret. Only you can do it. You can read all the tips and techniques you want, but at the end of the day, each and every one of us needs to create and live the life we dream of — no one can do it for us. So the secret to success for 2023 and beyond, is to finally make the deep commitment to transform your life into all that it can be and, was meant to be. I wish you much luck, good fortune and blessings for 2023 and beyond!

“Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you deal with it is what makes the difference.”  – Virginia Satir

“Don’t just survive. Shine.” ― Tom Fletcher

“If you want to be happy, you have to be happy on purpose. When you wake up, you can’t just wait to see what kind of day you’ll have. You have to decide what kind of day you’ll have.” – Joel Osteen

“The secret of a better and more successful life is to cast out those old, dead, unhealthy thoughts. Substitute for them new vital, dynamic faith thoughts. You can depend upon it—an inflow of new thought will remake you and your life.” – Norman Vincent Peale

And for Christians, we know that we are meant to live a peaceful, happy and prosperous life and this is something that God wants for all of His children, regardless of their faith, so we have even more reason to want to thrive and shine in our life.
