Ways To Share The Light of Positivity

Be the light that sparks a hundred more. A big part of positivity and being a more optimistic and upbeat person, is doing one’s part is sharing that positivity.

 

The Journal of Positive Psychology concluded that having a true, deep-seeded happiness comes as much from being positive, as it does from making other people feel good too. Making others feel good and experience happiness isf truly rewarding and the rule of thumb is to pay it forward — to take that positivity and share it, to spread light throughout our world.

How to spread positivity

  1.  Smile as much as possible. People love smiles and they see the person smiling as warm and approachable.  People who smile more are trusted and that smile is infectious  — when you see a warm sincere smile, its hard not to smile yourself.
  2. Be kind. Kindness is absolutely amazing. The kinder we are to others, the more those people want to be kind too. Kindness is truly rewarding and the more good we do for others, the brighter the light of the world. To spread positivity, try doing random acts of kindness…even small ones.
  3. Don’t spread negativity, or give into it. Negativity is everywhere and each of us is responsible to be mindful of how much we allow ours self to be exposed. The news and social media are two of the biggest culprits, so its a good idea to limit how much we consume/engage.
  4. Compliment others. Let someone know if they look good or if they’ve done something notable — share the positivity!
  5. Encouraging others is also a wonderful way to share the light. Give words of support and encouragement to help others accomplish their goals or to make improvements in their life.
  6. Use positive talk to create positivity. Avoid too much negative talk.  We’ve become conditioned to to be negative because there seems to be so much of it to go around — we have to consciously chose our words until we become more accustomed to using positive talk over negative
  7. Practice gratitude and share it. Being thankful is vital and once we become more focused on the things to be grateful for, we want to share that good with others. Be grateful, let others know you’re grateful and help them to be more thankful as well.
