Another new year is dawning upon us and with it comes fresh and exciting opportunities — chances to realize our hopes and dreams abound and its up to us to make the most of this opportunity.
Some Christians have elevated themselves and believe that God needs our help and that somehow, our Almighty Creator is reliant upon us. This of course is not true and its the other way around. The expression “good intentions” comes to mind on this matter.
Becoming a positive person has its challenges, but remaining positive, can sometimes be even harder. Lets face it, this world can at times be quite traumatic and trying.
In order to become a better person, we first have to acknowledge our faults and short-comings. The same is true when we want to go from being negative, to being positive.
Sometimes we’re fortunate to read a quote and have an epiphany that motivates us into action. I happen to love a good quotes collection because so often, their words of wisdom really help to inspire me.
Helping others is one of the most beautiful ways to celebrate the Christian faith. It is a privilege and blessing to be able to do good for people and that includes complete strangers.
When we make an effort to become a positive person – to focus on the good and possibilities in life, we become more aware of people mired in the negative.
Mercy. What exactly does it mean to be merciful? Is mercy something we give freely? Are we quick to judge and condemn and slow to forgive and embrace? Do we put mercy first…or last?
Wouldn’t life be wonderful if we could just say “abracadabra” and fix everything in our world? If only it were that easy. Positivity doesn’t work that way either — to be more positive, we have to work at it.
