A significant factor in personal happiness is how much we believe in ourselves and, in our right to be happy. Very often, we sabotage our own happiness by not believing enough in our own capabilities and our own right to live a thriving, happy life.

The truth of the matter is, we all matter and each of us is entitled to happiness. Every single one of us has value and everyone we meet is a fellow human being, just trying to make it in this world. Today, let’s all affirm to not only treat everyone with kindness and respect, but to also give ourselves the same courtesy. Upon waking each day, tell yourself the following”

I matter. I am an important person who is loved and respected.

I am good enough. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes. I am worthy and good enough.

I will keep trying. I don’t always get it right, but I just have to keep trying my best.

I will stay positive. I will focus on the positives in my life and I will be grateful for all that I have.

You are important and you do matter. You do have the right to be happy — we all do. Stay strong, focus on the good and remind yourself as often as you need to, that you deserve to thrive in this life, just like everyone else. Lead with positivity and compassion, so that it flows back to you in kind.
