Many wise and learned people have said that we are what we think about most. In essence, what we believe ourselves to be and what we think about most of the time, becomes our reality — we therefore, shape our own lives.
Life is unpredictable and feeling anxious, sad, frustrated and even angry, are just normal reactions to our hectic life. Ever notice though, that some people seem almost immune to these feelings? How do they do it…what’s their secret?

I’m not what one would call a huggy or touchy-feely type of person. I tend to hug for only a brief moment and then that’s about it. To make up for that lack of hug power, I use my smile instead, which I always hope conveys my sincerity.
Andy Rooney, one of the iconic team members of the 60 Minutes news program, shared a lot of his insight, humor and wisdom over the years. In fact, his segment became one of the most popular, and for very good reason.
The Christian faith and positive thinking truly go hand-in-hand. Christians are meant to be happy, confident, unafraid and filled with hope and possibility. The key for Christians is to remember this and to feel positive every day.
“I can’t change the world by myself.” Have you ever heard someone say that? It’s not true at all — there are countless examples of individuals who literally transformed the world. And, each of us can do much more than we think.
Even the most ardent positive thinkers need a morale boost once in a while and one tried-and-true way to get this boost, is through positive affirmations. Our mind is powerful and if we feed it with good things, we get positivity.
I once heard a Teacher tell a vulnerable classmate “you’ll never amount to anything….” at the time, I didn’t like what she had said, but I didn’t give it much thought. When I think back to that cruel declaration, I realize that this teacher was a strangler.
