We all need friends. We all want friends. Having friends is a blessing, because humans are social and interpersonal relationships are vital to our happiness. But how do we know who is a true friend and who is not?
Every now and then, reading a great collection of quotes is an ideal motivator. Sometimes, all it takes is one thought to help put us on the right track. The right words of wisdom can be an incredible spark that starts our personal motivation.
Have you heard the saying, “show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are?” Its a quote that has always intrigued me because I think what its saying is, “who you choose to associate with, shows your true nature more than it does theirs.”
Life is precious and our personal happiness is sacrosanct. We all need reminding now and then, that life is often what we make of it and that means taking the necessary time to put it into proper perspective.
Tolerance is something our world desperately needs. Right now, tolerance seems to be ebbing away on all fronts and with it, goes our peace, happiness and harmony. In their place, comes something awful. We can change that.
It would actually be a bit funny if it weren’t for the fact that it’s actually sad – why do we forget that right now, every one of us has an incredible and abundant power at our finger tips? And, it’s a power which is quite literally, inexhaustible.
The secret to thriving in this life may not be a secret after all. Most of us know that happiness is actually a choice and not a destination, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t things we can actually do, most of which are quite simple.
Life would be marvelous if all we had to do was to wish for what we want and no matter what, it would appear. Unfortunately, it rarely, if ever, works that way. And that’s actually a good thing in the overall scheme of things.
Too often, we spend so much time and energy trying to “find” happiness that we end up feeling frustrated and defeated, because ultimately, happiness isn’t something that we find. In truth, what we need to be truly happy, is actually right in front of us.
