The Monotonous Void of Social Media
Scroll. Like. Emoticon. Tweet. Post. These words have seemingly consumed our daily lives. Are the days of living life in the real, physical world gone, only to be replaced by the internet? Have we become so consumed with posting and tweeting that we now see every moment as something to post into cyberspace? Continue reading “The Monotonous Void of Social Media”
We’ve all heard the expression “do good for the sake of doing good.” I believe that what this adage is teaching us, is that we shouldn’t expect a reward of any kind, but should do good deeds and be kind, simply because it’s the right thing to do. What if sometimes, we’re our own dream crusher? Never let anyone stop you from pursuing your goals and dreams. And just as important, never tell yourself you can’t do it! So if you’re worried you’re “too old,” or that it’s “too late,” stop. Be strong, be bold, be brave and above all, be happy and pursue your dreams.
Do positive affirmations actually work? Can they help us to be more focused and positive? Yes to both of those questions and saying a positive affirmation is especially important upon waking up each morning.
The news should come with a warning label: “Watch this program at your own risk.” Its a very sad commentary on today’s news media that we have to question whether what we’re watching/reading has been manufactured.
When we talk about “destination happiness,” we don’t mean as in “on the way to…” type of destination. Destination happiness is something entirely different and yet, it too is a journey toward happiness. Confused?
