Blessed Are The Peacemakers
Peace – a word used throughout the ages by people from all walks of life, seeking a peaceful life. And who doesn’t want peace? After all, peace should be the goal of every person on this planet. But what does that mean exactly? Continue reading “Blessed Are The Peacemakers”
I’ve had days when I haven’t felt quite good enough — not smart enough, not qualified or capable enough — basically, that I just wasn’t enough of the really good things. On those days, reality and perception can be very blurry.
People are increasingly concerned with the growing level of anger and discourse in our country. Angry, violent words and seething hostility seem to be the new normal. But does it only seem that way, or is it really happening?
Positivity is so much more than just thinking good thoughts or looking for the bright side. An important aspect of positivity isn’t just being positive — it’s also realizing how valuable and important each of us truly are.
Joy. What precisely is it to be joyful — is it a feeling, or is it an emotion? Is joy a state of being that flows from a state of mind that is consistently happy? I sometimes feel that we’ve actually forgotten the true meaning of the word.
“I just want to be happy.” “I want to be a more positive person.” How many people, perhaps even yourself, have made these statements? We all want to be happy and positive — who on earth wouldn’t? The sad thing is though, too many people who say they want it…don’t even bother trying.

We’ve posted a number of articles recently about the rise in dishonesty — half-truths, conspiracy theories and intentionally spread disinformation. We’ve covered this, because we can’t ever claim to be good or positive people if we purposely spread lies. Dishonesty, is a decidedly negative, dark trait.
In order to be more positive and thus, less negative, it’s necessary for us to let go of any toxic emotions, behaviors and habits that are holding us back. We all know that anger, jealousy and hatred are three of the big ones, but one we sometimes overlook, is gossip — and gossip is very toxic.
You’ve probably heard the expression “you are a beacon of light,” but I wonder if we give that compliment the thought it deserves. In essence, when someone tells us we’re a beacon of light, they’re telling us that we’ve done something good and often, we really are radiating a literal light.
